I use this product mainly for ambient and cinematic soundscapes but also for a number of jazz and rock based music pieces but the expansive set of drums covers such a vast range of musical genres and you probably will not use them all.

Additionally about 350 electronic drums as well as percussions.6 Drum kits from Ayotte, Gretsch, Pearl, Premier, Ludwig and Yamaha as well as additional snares, kicks and basins.Over 230GB of natural drums without effects.Recorded in 11.1 Surround by George Massenburg in the Galaxy Studios.Based on meticulously recorded samples of high-quality drums. You can't layer bass midi over drum midi in a dedicated GUI.Virtual Drum Production Studio (Download) Upgrade from Toontrack EZdrummer 2 and 3 Superior Drummer 3 Not sure what the advantage to working with midi in a dedicated drum GUI is compared to working with midi in say, the included Cakewalk drum set which isn't too shabby. There are a few decent basic patterns in there.and I have tons of nice samples in STMAX. I think the loops in the Komplete kits are better than the old EZ drummer. The upgrade price is pretty good on these. I need to decide which program I'm going to work in.

It looks like with this new version of EZ drummer, they went back to a flashy GUI. Not a lot of love on other forums for BFD. Even after I made the conversion to their new setup under new ownership I lost access to my ziljian cymbals. I bought EZ drummer on a deal when things started to get shaky for BFD 3.

New midi loops don't give me much confidence. Almost none of the pre cut loops in any drum program I tried work out for me, so I end up building them in midi anyways.
